School Nutrition Programs
Take the lead toward Organic, Healthy food

Why LIV Organic for Schools?
In the last 20 years, the percentage of young children who are overweight has more than doubled and among adolescents, it has tripled. Childhood obesity is recognized as a national epidemic, resulting in earlier onset and increased prevalence of disease. Subsidized school lunch programs are associated with a high intake of dietary protein, complex carbohydrates, dairy products, fruits, and vegetables. Which is a good thing. But whatʼs happening is that The US Department of Agriculture, which oversees the National School Lunch Program, is concerned that foods with high sugar content (especially foods of minimal nutritional value, such as soft drinks) are displacing nutrients within the school lunch program. That’s WHY LIV ORGANIC.

Montgomery County Public Schools, Rockville, MD
The Montgomery County public school system has recently adopted LIV ORGANIC into its beverage menu. The county’s 200 schools serve more than 144,000 students. More than 11,000 teachers instruct students from 164 countries.
